Snail Mail: Dylan Bruce | Russell Labs #593 | 1630 Linden Dr. | Madison, WI 53706
BA Biology, BA Theater; Suma Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa – Occidental College
Dylan currently manages the annual UW-Madison Northern Organic Vegetable Improvement Collaborative (NOVIC) trials, and helps support grad students in the Silva Lab program. Besides researching regional adaptation of staple vegetable crops, Dylan is interested in the effect of management systems on biodiversity and ecosystem services. In the belief that our current socio-political climate necessitates research be extension-focused, Dylan hopes to one day manage his family’s farm as an independent research site for long-term agricultural trials.
Besides obsessively researching agroecosystem management methods, Dylan enjoys spending time on his family farm, and helps run the Wisconsin One Health Forum. He also occasionally finds himself exploring Driftless region ecology, studying his house plants with his home microscope, digging through the digital crates to find new music, or finding new ways to fall at the climbing gym.
